The Stone of Stumbling
The cornerstone the builders rejected - how the unfruitful fig tree of Judaism was scripturally chopped down and cursed so the fruitful vine could flourish according to all that the Prophets have said

How I use Scripture: unless quoted directly with quotation marks (““) the chapter and verse references are where you can find the verses in the Bible. I encourage you to read them, how else will you know if I’m quoting correctly? My job is to bring alive the treasures of scripture, from the new and the old, to help you study and seek God for yourself.
This is the duty of the Scribe (writer) / Teacher (explainer) Matthew 13:52
I have added parentheses to the KJV verses to emphasize the points being made, and unless otherwise noted, all scripture is quoted from the King James Version (KJV) which exists in the Public Domain.
My Purpose
This article is intended to provide you with the scriptural transition from the Old to the New, and what the Jews were supposed to understand about transferring their faith from doing the Law to Faith in the shed blood of Christ as the last sacrifice for sin.
I am the LORD, your Holy One, the creator of Israel, your King. Isaiah 43:15

It's worthwhile to do what the Jews refuse to do: to read the book of Isaiah. The prophecies of Isaiah tell of God’s lament toward the apostasy of his people and they prophesy the conception and the birth of the Messiah to come, his death, and much more. Isaiah confirms the future prophecies of the prophet Malachi, describing the attitude of God’s people against him. The Jews who hated God are a type of religious society in the world that hates God. The prophets tell God’s perspective, not man’s perspective. Since the Jews practiced both Judaism and idolatrous religions in secret, they are the perfect typology of religious man whether it be religious Christians not interested in the power of God or religious pagans of the world religions.
Religion Is Not The Way - Relationship With Christ Is The Way
Religion is a way of doing things that comforts the flesh. The Spirit strips the flesh away in repentance and the ones who walk in the Spirit of God point to the Cross and scripture and are neither popular nor have large followings, we are the remnant that Isaiah prophesied throughout his book. Believing Jews are added to the Church which is the Bride of Christ. There is a redeemable Jewish remnant that will exist at the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, the remaining 1/3rd of the inhabitants of Jerusalem according to the Prophet Zechariah. This is the remnant that Isaiah is counting himself among.
“Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ (because he is Christ); and shall deceive many (by adding Christ to their religion that is not of Christ),” Matthew 24:4-5.
Warning
Religious churches use the name of Jesus but deny his power (The Holy Spirit Baptism) and deny the authority of his name (failing to cast out demons and heal the sick), and say it’s okay to continue in sin without a repentance lifestyle, preferring the lie of Cessation that denies the Holy Spirit (The Unforgivable Sin). Run from these churches, now before it’s too late. Renounce your religion and turn to Jesus Christ.
“And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for you are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them (by the Holy Spirit Baptism); and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them (the religious only churches), and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and you shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty (The Father),” 2 Corinthians 6:16-18. (Paul speaking by the Holy Spirit)
The Basic Prophecies About Messiah
Moses wrote that God said Messiah would be a man, a prophet, born among them, Deuteronomy 18:18. Moses also said in the very next verse that if they don’t hearken to the words of the one God will send, they will die in their sins, Deuteronomy 18:19, John 8:21, 24, John 15:22. Jesus Christ is the Anointed Savior, Son of God (as the Jews claimed they were), Son of David, Son of Joseph (adopted by Joseph the dreamer, a son of David, Matthew 1:20; fulfilling the prophecy parable of Joseph, the son of Jacob). The Jews have always believed Messiah would be both Son of David and Son of Joseph.
Peter proclaimed on the Day of Pentecost, Feast of Weeks:
“19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing (Isaiah 28:12) shall come from the presence of the Lord;
20 And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:
21 Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.
22 For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.
23 And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.
24 Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days,” Acts 3:19-24. And Stephen preached the same, Acts 7:37.
Jacob prophesied Messiah would be of Judah, but one like Joseph, separated from his brethren, not from the Tribe of Levi, Genesis 49:10, 26.
Isaiah saw God and called him both Lord of Hosts (a title of God) and The King (a title of a man), Isaiah 6:5. Isaiah wrote that Messiah would be born of a virgin (the hired maiden, Genesis 30:18) as God said to King Ahaz, Isaiah 7:14.
God speaking said, “Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son (God’s son), and shall call his name Immanuel (God with us),” Isaiah 7:14.
This son will be God with us. God in the flesh, born as a man, as Moses said.
In Chapter 8, Isaiah records there will only be a remnant of the Jews who believe and he said he and his family and his disciples will be accounted among that remnant, the believing remnant, leaping 2,700 years into the future to be counted among them. Isaiah records this secretly among his followers telling them not to share this prophecy but bind it up:
“Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples (Isaiah’s disciples.) And I will wait upon the LORD, that hides his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him (in the future). Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwells in mount Zion (because they believed and all Israel did not believe), Isaiah 8:16-18.
In Chapter 9, Isaiah gets more specific saying the Son of God will be called “The Mighty God” and “The Everlasting Father,” “The Prince of Peace". This references both father God and God’s son the Prince. To understand the plurality of God and also his singular person, takes some study of Hebrew word construction. Hebrew contains singular words that are plural. By the word Elohim, the Jews knew that God was both one and more than one. YHWH is Yay-Ho-Vah, Jehovah, Lord. The Jews hid this word Lord, saying it was too holy, but there is not one single text that says God thought his name should not be spoken by all. According to Josephus, the Jews were told since Heber, the first Hebrew, sometimes spelled Eber, that Israel would be the seat of God’s Government.
Isaiah 9:6-7
6 For unto us a child is born (a man), unto us a son is given (God’s Son): and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
The Prophecies Of Messiah’s Visitation As A Man
The Jews Knew God Was Going To Visit Them As A Man
God was coming to visit his people in the form of a man born among them, Deuteronomy 18.18, and there was nothing they could do about it, so they pretended not to recognize him, even though John the Baptist’s father, Zacharias, announced the arrival of Messiah’s Prophet and who Messiah’s parents were at the Temple.
We know the priest Zacharias announced Messiah’s pending arrival from Luke chapter one when he went preaching filled with the Holy Spirit around the countryside, and because the priest Simeon and the widow Anna heard it and watched for Joseph and Mary to come for the baby’s circumcision. God gave the Jews 30 years to search the scriptures to prepare for Jesus’ message of repentance.
Recognizing Their Visitation Was God’s Test Of Their Faithfulness
The leaders willfully didn’t pass the test. And this was proof that Satan controlled them. Jesus called them serpents and vipers, the offspring of The Serpent, Matthew 23:33. The Jews very much appreciate Christians who support them, but as a majority, they still refuse the Gospel message.
The Word “Visitation” Refers Only To Messiah
Like the phrase “Most Holy,” the word “visitation” only refers to the Messiah. The word visitation occurs only 15 times. Thirteen times in the Old Testament, and twice in the New Testament. Used by Moses, Job, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Hosea, Micah, Luke, and Peter. Here are some of the key verses with the word “visitation” so you can see the pattern.
“If these men die the common death of all men, or if they be visited after the visitation of all men (The Cross); then the LORD hath not sent me, Numbers 16:29.
(Moses is saying after the Cross, which is the visitation of all men for salvation, that Messiah was not coming again to perform the payment for sin. He suffered and died once for all. If you fail to accept the sacrifice of Christ as the last sacrifice for sin, there is no more sacrifice for sin, Hebrews 10:26. All the efforts at the third Temple will be for nought, except to fulfill the prophecy of the Antichrist ceasing the oblations.)
Jesus said, “Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not,” Matthew 24:23.
(We come back with him after the wedding feast rapture, Matthew 12:36, at the Second Coming gathered from the four winds of heaven, Matthew 24:31. We are not to look for him on earth during the Wheat Harvest of the Church Age. Any Jews that come to faith are added to the Church, not to Judaism, although they continue in their traditions as God commanded them.)
“Thou hast granted me life and favour, and thy visitation hath preserved my spirit", Job 10:12, Genesis 32:30.
(Similar to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, Job saw the Lord, and as Jacob did, declares he was preserved, or saved.)
“And what will ye do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation (far future) which shall come from far? to whom will ye flee for help? and where will ye leave your glory? Isaiah 10:3.
(Asking Jerusalem what she will do when the Lord appears if she refuses to believe.)
It was Jeremiah who prophesied the end of the Jewish religion under the Law, using the word Visitation:
“12 Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush (not embarrassed at all): therefore shall they fall among them that fall: in the time of their visitation they shall be cast down (the Pharisees and Priests and Rabbis), saith the LORD. 13 I will surely consume them, saith the LORD: there shall be no grapes on the vine (Job 15:33, Isaiah 5:2,4, John 15:1, only the vine, Jesus Christ, remains, Genesis 49:11, 22) nor figs (Revelation 6:13) on the fig tree (chopped down by John the Baptist to reveal The Vine, Matthew 3:10, Luke 3:9), and the leaf shall fade (Matthew 21:19, Joel 1:7); and the things that I have given them (doing the Law for righteousness) shall pass away from them, Jeremiah 8:12-13.
The Lord says there will be no grapes or figs, which means there will be no fruit of the Spirit and no Gospel wine in the Jewish religion.
Jeremiah prophesied before Daniel gave his prophesy of the Temple destruction.
Then Hosea prophesied:
“When Israel was a child, then I loved him, and called my son out of Egypt,” Hosea 1:1.
(Jesus returned from Egypt, the same as the Children of Israel returned to Canaan land from Egypt.)
“The days of visitation are come, the days of recompence are come; Israel shall know it: the prophet is a fool, the spiritual man is mad, for the multitude of thine iniquity, and the great hatred,” Hosea 9:7.
(Describing the hatred of the Jews in Jesus’ time.)
Then Micah said:
“The best of them is as a brier: the most upright is sharper than a thorn hedge: the day of thy watchmen and thy visitation cometh; now shall be their perplexity,” Micah 7:4. (Daniel’s prophecy will come to pass.)
Then Luke records all of Jesus’ disciples gathered and worshipping God saying praises to the King that Isaiah saw in his vision (Isaiah 6:5), the Lord of Hosts who is also the King of Israel:
“And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent (bottom) of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples (the 12 and the women, the 70, and the 120) began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen; Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest,” Luke 19:37-38, Psalm 118:26.
Jesus Addressed Jerusalem With Pharisees Present-Answering The Prophecies Of Isaiah, Jeremiah, And Daniel:
“And when he was come near (to the Pharisees), he beheld the city, and wept over it, Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes (judicially blinded). For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side, And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.” Luke 19:41-44.
“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord, Matthew 23:37-39, Luke 13:34:35, Psalm 118:26.
Ezekiel chapter 5 holds the detailed prophecy of their desolation.
Will the modern church be able to discern the times of her visitation for the Rapture? Jesus asked, “…when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?" Luke 18:8.
Because of faithlessness and their hatred of God, the Jews missed their visitation and history and archaeology records them as made desolate when the Romans destroyed Jerusalem and the Temple and again when the world wars destroyed them in the Holocaust, not leaving many to continue the religion that God hates. The dry bones of Israel were resurrected as a nation in 1948, according to Isaiah 66:8, born in one day.
Jacob’s Genesis 49 Prophecies - Levi As The Slayer And The Faith Transfer From The Animal Sacrifices To Christ
“The wages of sin is death,” Romans 6:23.
Jesus Christ, The Lamb of God, was born sinless without Adam’s DNA and lived holy, therefore he could not die a natural death. He had no wages of sin. He would have to be slain by the Temple Priests. This is what the animal sacrifices depicted.
The Old Testament is a series of prophetic parables. The actions of the sons of Jacob self-selected their tribal roles in the latter days. Their actions were their prophecies the same as Abraham’s actions were his prophecies. Prophecies in actions, not words. For this article I’m not going to focus on Jacob’s whole prophecy, but the cast members that are useful to this article.
This Article’s Cast - Not in Birth Order
Levi self-selected as the slayer, led the raid on the circumcised men of Shechem. God brought the tribe of Levi close and made them the priestly tribe responsible for guarding the scriptures, knowing they would revert to their murderous nature when left alone for the 400 quiet years between Malachi and John the Baptist.
Simeon self-selected as the murderer, God reduced this tribe and hid them in Judah. A type of judgment and forgiveness in Christ for this tribe.
Dinah a type of worldly lust, her secret disobedience provided sanctified wives for Jacob’s sons. Sanctified wives, because the dead husbands of Shechem were circumcised to God. By Christ’s sacrifice we escape the lusts of this world.
Joseph self-selected as the type of Christ being sent into the prison of the earth, forgiving his father’s house, and saving them from death in the 7-year famine/tribulation. Joseph is the vine that grows over the wall of Jerusalem to encircle the earth. As the shape of the Wilderness Camp forms the Cross, Joseph is not included, because he is the typology of a man, Christ, who will hang on the Cross.
Judah self-selected as the tribe Jesus would come from by offering himself as a substitute captive to save Benjamin. Christ died a substitutionary death, one for as many who will believe.
Benjamin the youngest, had the most offspring, his name means, The Son of The Right Hand, which means the Son of God. Fathers have the biblical right to override their wives decisions. Jacob changed his name to fit the prophecy. The born again children of Christ will be multitudes. The Prophecy of Paul as “Little Benjamin will lead them” is found in Psalm 68:27. Jerusalem was the capital city of the tribal land of Benjamin. The Temple straddled the border of Judah and Benjamin. The land of Benjamin was defiled by the murderous homosexuals (the tribe of ravening wolves) in Judges 18-21. The Cross stood in the defiled land of Benjamin, outside the city walls, to remove the sin of the land’s defilement. Judah’s council was the 24 courses of Levites that lived in Judah but served at the Temple.
Gad is a troop, one military champion, The Lord of Armies (Hosts), Jesus Christ.
Dan means God has judged me. Dan was prophesied as a serpent by the way, an adder in the path, that bites the horse heels, so that his rider shall fall backward. Many are confused by this prophecy thinking it refers to the Antichrist. You’ll see later on that Dan refers to God’s judgment poured out on Christ. When the Cross is preached, lifted up for salvation of souls, it makes the apocalyptic Horsemen of Revelation fall back, be further delayed while Jesus adds souls to his church. The coming Tribulation kick off of the Four Horsemen is delayed as long as the Cross is lifted up to save souls.
Leah and Rachel declared the parable of the Gospel in the birth announcements of their children. We will see this later on.
Levi As The Slayer
Levi self-selected as the slayer of the sacrifice. Levi and Simeon his brother murdered the men of Shechem. God used Levi’s nature to maintain the scripture, and to carry out the literal Passover Sacrifice Of The Lord Jesus commanded by God.
Jacob said not to enter into their council or assembly, Genesis 49:5-7. Jesus said to observe what they said, but not to do their works, Matthew 23:3. Because of their fierce angry religious nature, the Levite Priests focused on the letter of the Law which kills, rather than the intent of the Law which is Mercy. Man cannot keep the Law. But if we were able to keep the Law, then we would love and be merciful, as Christ our Law Keeper does.
“5 Simeon and Levi are brethren; instruments of cruelty are in their habitations. 6 O my soul, come not thou into their secret; unto their assembly, mine honor, be not thou united: for in their anger they slew a man (Jesus), and in their self will they digged down a wall (Jerusalem’s wall). 7 Cursed be their anger, for it was fierce; and their wrath, for it was cruel: I will divide them in Jacob, and scatter them in Israel,” Genesis 49:5-7.
The Cross was an instrument of cruelty. Jacob saw it, and like Isaiah the Prophet, did not want to be counted with the Levites. Fierce anger and wrath describes the leaders of Jerusalem perfectly, as Malachi the Prophet prophesied their nature.
God did divide them and scatter them; The Levites lived in Judah and Jerusalem to serve at the Temple, and David divided them again into 24 courses; the majority of Levites served in town synagogues throughout Israel and thus they were scattered.
The Greek word for Pharisee in the Septuagint is Separatists. Paul was a Pharisee, and his father was a Pharisee before him, but they were of the Tribe of Benjamin, not Levi, Acts 23:6. There was no tribal requirement to become a Pharisee. It was the Pharisees who wrote and instituted the Talmud to hide God’s Word from the people, Luke 11:52.
The politics in Jerusalem in the time of Christ can be studied from the work of Emil Shurer. The High Priest was a Jew, but a Roman appointee in Jesus’ time, so not God’s choice, and the Pharisees gained agreement with the High Priest to institute the Talmud. It is the Talmud that hides the knowledge of Jesus Christ from the Jews. The modern Rabbis today fiercely defend the Talmud even by death threats against those who try to teach against it in Israel. They are willfully and judicially blinded.
The Faith Transfer From The Animal Sacrifices To Christ
Throughout scripture, the coming transition of faith was foretold in all that the Prophets had said. Instead of preparing expectantly to meet God, they preferred darkness and control, gaining wealth for themselves by cheating the people. They continually found ways to judge and demand a death sentence for transgressors.
The transition away from enforcing the Law which looked for the Messiah, to putting their faith in the Messiah who had come to forgive sin by his sacrificial death is where they stumbled. They had not studied the scriptures to understand what the Prophets and the Psalms had said.
The Law causes the sin nature to be excited. It’s a spiritual thing. Man cannot keep the Law no matter how well all the ordinances and ceremonies are performed. The Law is against us for the purpose of showing us our sin. We are all born judged already by the Law. We need the Savior to remove the sin penalty of the Law, which is death, by repenting and asking for forgiveness and receiving it. The Law was given to show the requirements of holiness and to show man he cannot achieve holiness without the Savior. We are sin because our very DNA is corrupted by sin.
Paul Describes The Faith Transfer
Galatians 3:6-3:29 This is Paul’s Revelation, and for a long time, there has been discussion about removing the book of Galatians from the Bible. Of course this discussion is led by Satan in an effort to make Christianity into nothing more than another religion. He’s still at it.
“16 Now to Abraham and his seed (The Seed) were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to Thy Seed, which is Christ. 17 And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the Law, which was four hundred and thirty years after (after Jacob went down into Egypt), cannot disannul, that it should make The Promise of none effect (the Law does not override The Promise which is inherited in Christ.) 18 For if the inheritance be of the Law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it (the inheritance) to Abraham by promise. 19 Wherefore then serveth the Law? It was added because of transgressions (the transgression of forgetting God and going back to serving false gods at Mt. Sinai), till The Seed should come to whom the promise was made (the promise was given to Abraham that Christ would come); and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator. 20 Now a mediator is not a mediator of one (God is three persons), but God is one (the singular-plural word Elohim). 21 Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a Law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the Law. 22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe. 23 But before faith came, we were kept under the Law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. 24 Wherefore the Law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 25 But after that faith (in Christ) is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster (the Law). 26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus (those who believe and have been baptized). 29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise,” Galatians 3:6-29.
Paul covers it all in his circular fashion. The Jews are still stumbling. Because they do want to believe as God indicated in the scriptures throughout. They didn’t just gladly slay Jesus Christ as God intended for them to do to defeat Satan, but they also killed every Prophet God sent to them, with possibly the exception of Samuel and Elisha.
“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!,” Matthew 23:37
Jacob Prophesied A King - A Man Out of The Tribe of Judah
A King has a crown, a sceptre, a robe, a throne, a government with a council, a kingdom.
The Crown:
“The blessings of thy father have prevailed above the blessings of my progenitors unto the utmost bound of the everlasting hills: they shall be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of him that was separate from his brethren,” Genesis 49:26.
Joseph was separated from his brethren, and so was Jesus Christ. The Crown, the diadem, was made for the High Priest. The prophesied High Priest in the Order of Melchizedek whose name means King of Peace, King of Righteousness, Psalm 110:4, Genesis 14:18. Crowns are worn by royalty, The Prince of Peace, The Prince of the kings of the earth, The King of kings. He’s called a Prince because he is the Son of God who is the King of Isaiah 6:5. Jesus Christ is both High Priest and King of Israel. Aaron was a prophetic placeholder at the wilderness tabernacle.
The Sceptre:
“The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come (refers to the personified Tabernacle at Shiloh); and unto him shall the gathering of the people be,” Genesis 49:10.
Him refers to the High Priest the Tabernacle represents, Jesus Christ. No longer would the people follow the placeholder priests like Aaron, but Messiah. Preachers always wonder why Paul chose the Tabernacle as the type of Christ, now you know.
The Flowing Wrap-Around Robe - A Blood Stained Surrounding Garment:
“Binding his foal unto the vine, and his ass's colt unto the choice vine; he washed his garments in wine, and his clothes in the blood of grapes: 12 His eyes shall be red with wine, and his teeth white with milk,” Genesis 49:11-12.
In the Septuagint, the Greek says,
“πλυνεῖ (he washed) ἐν (in) οἴνῳ (wine) τὴν (the) στολὴν (flowing robe) αὐτοῦ (his) καὶ (even) ἐν (in) αἵματι (blood) σταφυλῆς (grape, singular) τὴν (the) περιβολὴν (covering, a surrounding garment) αὐτοῦ (his).”
Or as it would have been written in English:
‘He washed his flowing robe in wine and his wrap-around garment in the blood of the grape.’
The word “covering” or “vesture” is used. Taken together, his body would be washed in his own blood (that of the singular grape from the vine of Israel) and then thrown around someone as a covering for sin. We are washed in his blood, re-gened a new creation.
King Jesus sacrificed himself to cover us in his royal blood soaked robe so that when the Father looks at us, he sees his son, not our sin.
The flowing robe “στολὴν,” stolé or stole, is figuratively the robe of a king. The grape personified, “σταφυλῆς” is singular. He is the Grape, from the vine of Israel, who shed his blood, the grape crushed into wine.
His covering, “τὴν (the) περιβολὴν (covering) αὐτοῦ (his)”, is a further figurative phrase that refers to his body, his tent, as the covering of the Tabernacle, and this covering is better described as a “surrounding garment” which is a robe.
Here we have Jesus literally washing his body in his own blood by dying on the cross, and wrapping believers in his blood soaked robe to wash away their sins. Proverbs 20:16, 27:13 says “Take his garment that is surety for a stranger: and take a pledge of him for a strange woman.” His robe is our surety where the blood was applied. As Tamar, the gentile (a strange woman), the daughter in law of Judah, took Judah’s staff, ring, and bracelets as surety that she became pregnant by him and no other.
Jerusalem was a strange woman who had forgotten who her bridegroom was.
So in your mind, you can see the result of placing your faith in Christ for salvation, involves him throwing his blood washed body around you to hide you from the wrath of God. This is literally the meaning of being found in Him.
Paul said,
“8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, 9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: 10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; 11 If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead,” Philippians 3:8-11.
Paul used the analogy of water baptism to explain how we are Baptised into his death and resurrection, but I find the Greek in the Septuagint to be more literal. There are other surprises in Chapter 49 of Genesis, when taking the English and the Hebrew and the Septuagint Greek together as a complete picture of each verse. The translation differences are not error, but prophetic components that illuminate the whole meaning when read together. The Septuagint is seen as a tool of interpretation by scholars and theologians, and it was written 165 years before Jesus was born by Hebrew priests. It is also the word of God. And Genesis 49 is where the three languages, Hebrew, Greek, and English integrate to form the whole picture of Jacob’s prophecy of the Cross.
“His eyes shall be red with wine, and his teeth white with milk,” Genesis 49:11-12
This is a picture of a happy Jesus smiling. His “eyes red with wine,” is better translated, “eyes sparkling like wine.” And “his teeth white with milk", can only mean he’s smiling, for when do you see a person’s white teeth? When they are smiling.
The Septuagint verses contain Greek words that were not easily translated, so they dropped them. The full picture of Jesus as The Vine as he proclaimed comes from Jacob’s prophecy, and from the Septuagint where the words “τῇ ἕλικι” were dropped because they didn’t understand the reference to “The Helix”. I’ll show you this later on.
“Joseph is a fruitful bough, even a fruitful bough by a well; whose branches run over the wall,” Genesis 49:22. (The son of Jacob who forgave all his father’s house, the fruitful branch that runs over the wall of Jerusalem to encircle the world with the Wine of the Gospel, The Good News.)
Now you’ve seen God Our Savior King, his throne is King David’s throne forever and he is the king of all the kings of the nations, deciding those who are raised up and deposed, Daniel 2:20-22.
“20 Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his:
21 And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:
22 He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and The Light (Jesus Christ) dwelleth with him.”
A Sanctuary And A Stone of Stumbling Was Promised
Jesus Christ is the Stone of Stumbling because the Children of Israel swore an oath to serve God and they still refuse to pay their vow (Deuteronomy 18:19, 23:21, and then read Isaiah Chapter 45.)
Isaiah 8:14-16
“14 And he shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offense to both the houses of Israel (Judah and Ephraim), for a gin (trip wire) and for a snare (noose) to the inhabitants of Jerusalem (Leaders, Levites and Pharisees). 15 And many among them shall stumble, and fall, and be broken, and be snared, and be taken (by Satan). 16 Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples.”
Matthew 21:42-44
“42 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner (cornerstone): this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes? 43 Therefore say I unto you (Jews), The kingdom of God shall be taken from you (Daniel 5:25-26, John 8:6), and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof (Arguably Asia Minor, then Britain, now the United States). 44 And whosoever shall fall (stumble, Isaiah 8:14) on this stone (referring to himself) shall be broken (Deuteronomy 18:19): but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder (Daniel 2:44-45).
The Stumbling Block - Isaiah Chapters 8 & 53
The Prophet Isaiah, son of Amoz, disassociated himself with the establishment Jews and Judaism and aligned himself with God and the believing remnant he prophesied in verses 8:16-18. If Isaiah was given the vision in Chapter 6 during King Uzziah’s reign, he wouldn’t have wanted to tell anyone, because the Jews were not following God, but worshipping demons. Only Isaiah and his disciples followed God at that time.
Isaiah 8:16-18
“16 Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples. 17 And I will wait upon the LORD, that hideth his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him. 18 Behold, I and the children the sons whom the LORD hath given me (Maher-shalal-hash-baz & Shear-Jashub) are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwells in mount Zion.”
Isaiah Chapter 8
Isaiah was martyred for his faith. The Jews put him alive into a tree trunk and sawed him in half. Not unlike how they murdered the Prophet Zechariah, Son of Berechiah, between the altar and the Temple. Jerusalem did indeed killed all the Prophets.
Isaiah prophesied 700 years before Jesus Christ (742-681 BC) would appear as a man at the moment in history when the High Priest was convinced by the Pharisees to remove the Torah and replace it with the Talmud, Luke 11:52. At this point, when God’s word was removed, He sent his son in the flesh. They didn’t believe the miracles either. He came to his own and his own knew him not. Read the Book of Malachi to understand the character of Jerusalem during Jesus’ lifetime. Malachi presents the instruments of cruelty as they would be, and Emil Schurer presents them as history documents them.
You can read about the heated politics between the Pharisees and the High Priest and their dinner parties in the five volume set titled, “A History Of The Jewish People In The Time Of Jesus Christ,” by Emil Schurer, D.D., M.A., Professor of Theology at the University of Giessen, Germany, translated into English by the Scottish Reverend John MacPhearson, M.A. Here is a link to the internet archive. These books also provide the researched details of the census Joseph and Mary were required to register for in Bethlehem. How the census was conducted from the Roman perspective as to decrees made, by whom, when, and who governed the place names of the New Testament. There is no substitute for actual research. Historical information has been eroded by the internet not enhanced by it. These books are scholarly and you might not appreciate the Greek and Hebrew quotations, however you will still gain insight you’ve never heard preached. An understanding of man’s history is not necessary to come to faith, but it’s good to fill in the gaps for yourself to silence the workers of iniquity when they attempt to erode your faith by their atheistic claims to knowledge.
Isaiah’s Prophesies are primarily related to Jesus Christ, his first and second advents and the coming Millennial Kingdom of 1,000 years. Isaiah is like a prophecy of the New Testament, while Zechariah is a prophecy of the Jewish end times. Isaiah chapter 53 was forbidden by the Rabbis. You can do separate study on your own as to why they refute it.
Today, in Israel, there is a rabbinical debate taking place. They are wondering how Isaiah saw God in Isaiah Chapter 6, yet Isaiah called God both the Lord of Hosts and King in verse 6:5. They are stumped as to how God can also use the title of king, because the title king is used for men. There are Christians who have entered the debate to help them make the leap over the stumbling block, but it isn’t going quickly because the veil of Moses is very dark.
They must come to faith in Christ before the veil is lifted. The Old Testament is full of detail that had the Jews fully followed the Lord as Joshua and Caleb did, they would have understood by the moving of the Holy Spirit and would have come to faith after becoming the necessary slayers of Christ. It was in the Temple that they were tested by Jesus, then judicially blinded for unbelief, John 9:40-41, Mark 4:12, according to Isaiah 6:9-10. Even though God said they would be blinded in the same chapter they are studying today, Isaiah 6, still they do not believe.
The Genesis Prophecy of the New Testament Cross
Not all prophets are speaking prophets. Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob were prophets in parable form, the things they did were their prophesies. Their names, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob are the prophesy of the three crosses which present mankind with a choice. Today the meaning of the three crosses has been lost and people just see it as symbolic of Calvary.
The prophetic play act of the Sacrifice of Isaac starring Abraham as God, and starring Isaac as Jesus Christ, God’s only son, featuring God as the narrator.
Abraham had two sons, so taking Isaac from among the sons of Abraham was prophetic of Deuteronomy 18:18 in that Jesus would be ‘That Prophet’ that would rise from among his brethren. Abraham, as God, raised the knife and began to slay, depicting God sacrificing his only son on the cross, the altar. When Isaac got up off the altar alive, it was a prophecy of the Resurrection. Man has been given parts of this prophecy, but I am the only person or preacher I have found that interprets it this way. Jesus said, Abraham saw my day and was glad, John 8:56. I hope this blesses you.
Isaac’s twin sons represent the choice to believe on the right, or to reject on the left and to be forgotten, as Esau rejected and was forgotten and never mentioned again. The Western nations read from left to right and Israel and the Eastern nations read from right to left; Esau on the left is the first son of Isaac, and Jacob on the right is the second son. The image below of the three crosses I created is laid out according to this paragraph.
God says only faith pleases him, Hebrews 11:6. We, the gentiles, being originally rejected as Esau must come to faith in Christ at the cross. The Hebrews being born in faith are to have faith already, but must come to Christ the same way, in repentance at the cross, as they did when they believed John the Baptist. We in the West see Esau first and they in the East see Jacob first, but both arrive at the Cross and if not, the gentile remains Esau, and Jacob becomes Esau, they are twins, two of the same family tree. Abraham is the root, Isaac is the trunk and his sons are the two branches that form as the tree begins to grow upward.
Both Esau and Jacob are criminals who broke the Law of God, but the thief on the right accepted Christ as Savior and was saved. Jacob’s name means heel catcher or thief. Jesus, the Good Shepherd, talked about his sheepfolds, only the sheep will be saved, those who accept him.
“31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: 32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats: 33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. 34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world, Matthew 25:31-34.
The Sons Of Jacob Are The Barren Fruit Branches
God began to open up the meaning of the names of Jacob’s sons to me in about 2016, but I didn’t receive the full revelation diagram until 2023. Here is an image of the meaning. Most know the wilderness camp was formed in the shape of a cross in Numbers 2, but no credit is given to Jacob’s wives as the evangelists. The name Levi is the root of the Hebrew word for marriage. Joseph is the son who is not a tribe because he is the prophecy of the sinless Son of God who came down to the prison to hang on the cross. Levi is uncounted and considered an instrument of cruelty, the slayer of the sacrifice, and prophetic of the uncounted multitudes of Christians.
The picture is the sons of Jacob who form the cross shape, and Joseph who was called out of Egypt, Hosea 11:1, and would forgive all his brethren, Luke 23:34, Genesis 41:51, who would hang on the tree, Deuteronomy 21:22, Isaiah 53.
The timeline of the Jews ends at the Cross and will be picked up again at the Second Coming, after they have received the Leviticus chapter 26 seven times punishment, The Tribulation, The Time of Jacob’s Trouble.
There are four verses that describe Jesus Christ unburdening himself from the faithless Jews as he puts on the High Priesthood of the order of Melchizedek.
“And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind (the Holy Spirit),” Revelation 6:13. (Unripe figs, the unbelieving Jews)
“33 He shall shake off his unripe grape as the vine, and shall cast off his flower as the olive. 34 For the congregation of hypocrites shall be desolate, and fire shall consume the tabernacles of bribery. 35 They conceive mischief, and bring forth vanity, and their belly prepares deceit,” Job 15:33-35. (Unripe grape, the unbelieving Jews)
“Joseph is a fruitful bough, even a fruitful bough by a well (in Ephraim, Samaria); whose branches run over the wall (of Jerusalem), Genesis 49:22. (The vine stump (Jesus Christ) grows branches (Holy Spirit Baptized believers) that bear fruit as it grows over the wall of Jerusalem to the whole world, and a fruitful bough is also known as The Branch of righteousness in Jeremiah 33:15. From this verse Joseph is the parable of Messiah who came down to the prison, he went down to Egypt from Israel, do you see it now? Only as The Vine grows outward from Jerusalem does it begin to produce fruit for God.)
“In those days, and at that time, will I cause the Branch of righteousness (the fruitful bough) to grow up unto David (as the Son of David); and he shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land, Jeremiah 33:15.”
Jacob prophesied in Genesis 49:10 “The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him (Jesus Christ) shall the gathering of the people be.” The people were supposed to be the Jews, but they rejected, judging themselves unworthy, so he was sent to the Gentiles, Acts 13:46. The people were to transition their faith from animal sacrifices to the Messiah, but they refused.
“Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you (The Jews): but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles,” Acts 13:46. (They made the choice to reject of their own will, and would not say they judged themselves unworthy unless they had made this choice.
John The Baptist Cut Down The Fig Tree To Reveal The Vine
John the Baptist cut down the Fig Tree to reveal The Vine, Matthew 3:10, Luke 3:9.
Jesus cursed the barren fig tree (Judaism), Matthew 21:19-20, as a symbol of Judaism unable to produce fruit for God.
“And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: every tree therefore which brings not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire (Hell).”
“Binding his (God’s) foal (Jesus Christ) unto the vine (Israel), and his ass's colt (the one he rode on into Jerusalem) unto the choice vine (Jesus Christ); he washed his garments in wine, and his clothes in the blood of grapes (his own cluster, his blood), Genesis 49:11.
Jesus said, “I am the vine,” John 15:1, 15:5, Genesis 49.
Just as the Prophets said.
Moses was on the ground in the camp, he knew all these things. Those of you who are religious only say women have no place, but it was women who proclaimed the Cross first. It is written in their birth announcements of their sons names.
When you make the Word of God theology rather than parables to be illuminated, you err greatly. Tradition makes the word of God of none effect, Matthew 15:6.
Jesus Christ Is The Vine, The Branch, The Fruitful Bough, The Trellised Vine That Runs Over The Wall Of Jerusalem All Around The World Delivering The Wine of The Gospel By Evangelists Wherever It Goes
The barren and cursed fig tree needed to be cut down to reveal the vine.
The church was born out of the vine, not the fig tree. This is the scriptural and prophetic transition from the Jewish religion (Barren Fig Tree) to the Church which is the Order of Melchizedek (The Vine).
The Septuagint verses contain Greek words that were not easily translated, so they dropped them. The full picture of Jesus as The Vine as he proclaimed comes from Jacob’s prophecy, and from the Septuagint where the words “τῇ ἕλικι” were dropped because they didn’t understand the reference to “The Helix” which is a coil of wire used to train a vine to a trellis. Jesus was the trellised vine fettered to the colt of a donkey as he rode into Jerusalem to shouts of Hosanna, “Save Us” . Figuratively, a picture of a crucified vine stump.
In a vineyard, vines are the stumps, and the branches are the new growth that springs from the stump. In Genesis 49:11 the first usage of the word vine means Israel, the second usage personifies the Vine as the Choice Vine or Helixed/Trellised Vine in the Septuagint.
Jesus never explained why he called himself the vine. Now you know where his reference to The Vine comes from.
These are the highlights that you as a Jew or an unbeliever need settled, most likely to come to faith. I say highlights, because within this teaching it only goes deeper when you begin to investigate the other prophecies. The Old Testament was called the Dark Mysteries, because there was no Light. The modern church has never known the Old Testament as a series of parables. After I am gone, perhaps there will be one who is raised up with faith to believe more that what they are taught in liberal Bible colleges that blaspheme the Holy Spirit and make Christianity into psychology and philosophy.
