My Holy Spirit Baptism
How I use Scripture: unless quoted directly with quotation marks (“ “) the chapter and verse references are where you can find the foundational verses for yourself in the Bible. I encourage you to read them yourself. My job is to bring alive the treasures of scripture, from the new and the old, to help you study and seek God for yourself. This is the duty of the Scribe/Teacher (Matthew 13:52).
I thank the Holy Spirit for editing this article because it was not in my mind how to craft it until I prayed and asked him for help. I have spent 12 years searching for anyone else with similar experiences to mine, it’s unlikely I will ever find any; other than one pastor who talks about Jesus appearing to him. People don’t share their testimonies for fear of being insulted and rejected by carnal people. The Old Testament Prophets didn’t describe their experiences very well either, except the words that God gave them. Only Moses, Elijah and Elisha, John, Ezekiel and Daniel provide any visualization. So when you meet someone who will tell you how Jesus appeared to them, be sure to thank them for their testimony.
Pastors need to get out of the habit of saying your experiences don’t matter. In fact, they do matter. There is a crown of righteousness laid up for those who love his appearing, 2 Timothy 4:8. And he does still appear today, to me, and I must believe to all who he has called to the battle for souls. Before you are ready to read my experience, I will give you some teaching, an amalgamation of everything I have learned about the Baptism, from books, from preachers, from the old miracle working saints, and from my own experience, and the Bible. Jesus said he had much more to teach us.
“I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now” - John 16:12
The Outpouring of God’s Spirit Upon All Flesh
Began With Peter’s Announcement at the Temple - It Continues Today
Acts 2:14-18 “Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, You men of Judaea, and all you that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken (listen') to my words: For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day (9am). But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel (Joel 2:28-32); And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: And on my servants (men) and on my handmaidens (women) I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy…” all the things which shall come upon the ends of the earth in the last days (summary of the remaining verses).
The “last days” began at the Cross. For 2,000 years God has been pouring out his Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues, on all who have obeyed the Gospel (Acts 5:32), and have asked for the Baptism of Fire with Tongues (Luke 3:16, Luke 11:13).
Notice upon whom the Spirit of God will pour out:
Upon men who are called his servants, the men he has saved and called into service. Every one of them is called to service. The Spirit equips men for Spiritual warfare and calls them to spearhead the Gospel, to be willing to lay down their lives for Jesus. They are the warriors of the church. The scripture is the Sword of the Spirit.
Upon his handmaidens, women who he has saved and has called to a personal service unto him. Every one of them is called to service. The word handmaid, or handmaiden, is a female servant of a royal personage.
It is his daughters who are nursed at his side (Isaiah 60:4), and have been the wombs of all living (Genesis 3:20, Luke 1:38) and who know him more intimately through the Spirit because of the emotional and physical hardships they bear in life, and because God put enmity between women and Satan to protect them (Genesis 3:15). Proverbs 31 provides a female personification of the church as his wife. It was Jael, a woman, who drove the stake into the head of the demon possessed Cisera, not her husband (Judges 4:22, Judges 5:24).
Woe to the man who gets in the way of a woman called by God. In my experience, the men miss out on their blessing and it is given to the woman they mistreated. Just my experience, not a doctrine. The same as God hinders the prayers of husbands who mistreat their wives (1 Peter 3:7).
Men who God has appointed as husbands to women preachers usually have a “ministry of helps” in support of their ministry, some administrator function, but they are generally not preachers themselves. A ministry needs a business function as well as a pulpit function. And sometimes God just calls the sole woman into his service. Deuteronomy and 1 Corinthians speak to this, even the divorced woman who makes a vow.
The great women power preachers of history, from Mother Mariah Woodworth-Etter, Aimee Semple MacPherson, Amy Carmichael, to Kathryn Kuhlman all had a heavy anointing of the Holy Spirit, so that people would remark they could feel the presence of God. Miracles and healings occurred. I would be remiss if I failed to mention Phoebe Palmer, the housewife who started a Holiness movement in her parlor. The Holy Spirit revealed the cross to her as the altar where all flesh is consumed through repentance. Men noticed so much change in their wives, they came to investigate. Men began to attend her meetings and God called many men to preach from the repentance teachings of Phoebe Palmer. Then those men stole her credit as men will invariably do. It is faithful women who are the closest to the Holy Spirit. Never despise them.
God uses the least likely and the despised. (1 Corinthians 1:26-29).
The outpouring upon all flesh began on the day of Pentecost, the 50th day after the Cross, the first day of the Feast of Weeks, announced by Peter at the Temple where 3,000 were saved and baptized in the Spirit on that day (Acts 2:41). Pray and read the whole of Acts chapter two and see if your faith will arise so that God can fill you.
The secret of scripture is that you must speak it out loud for the Holy Spirit to move. He moves on the scripture he hears. People wait around for God. You must cash in the promises at the bank of heaven in order to get your blessing. He will work with you the way you understand.
How the Prayer Language in Tongues Functions
A Simultaneous Two-Way Communication
The spiritual prayer language, called speaking in other tongues, was prophesied in Isaiah 28:11. It is a communication conduit between the believer and God that cannot be broken. The spirit of the believer controls it (1 Corinthians 14:32). The believer speaks, the Holy Spirit both inside the belly of the believer and in the spirit realm prays on their behalf for their needs in the format that is acceptable to God; in its form of address and the emphasis of the direction of the prayer, because we do not pray as we should (Romans 8:26) The believer doesn’t know what they are saying, but the Spirit knows and directs the message (1 Corinthians Chapter 14) Sometimes in song, sometimes in sorrow, sometimes in strong tongues of rebuke toward demons.
My experience is that I say the wonderful works of God in tongues (Acts 2:11), but the Spirit of God prays for what I need. He is attached to me by what I consider a golden rivulet that is attached to him, the Great Golden River that flows throughout the universe. Each person has a connection to him if they receive the Baptism. Before the Baptism I didn’t have this connection. He is a person in the form of a Great River, as Ezekiel chapter 47 says. Some wade to the ankles, some to the knees, some to the hips, and some swim to the neck and are fully consumed. In my experience he is the great tangible persona of God, and Jesus said when he speaks, he speaks what Jesus tells him to say (John 15:26). A great flowing Spirit of all knowledge and all history of every person who ever lived and all events that have ever happened and the full mind of God the Father. He knows what has happened, what is happening, and what will happen. When I pray for help, he gives me the answer, even for computer problems on the job and help to find things I’ve misplaced. My helper, the Holy Spirit, as Jesus promised.
The Bible says the believer speaks the wonderful works of God (Acts 2:11) and it is the Spirit of God that makes intercession for us, crying Abba, father (Romans 8:15, 27 and Galatians 4:6). Because God is the father of the born again believer, just as he is Jesus’ father. Jesus was adopted by Joseph, so that we can be adopted by God as his children. The spirit of adoption (Romans 8:15,23).
The believer’s prayer language is not the Gift of Tongues, but a personal language for prayer and worship. The language is an earthly language or an angelic language. Sometimes God will speak through a person’s tongues in a foreign language to an unbeliever, and this helps them see the scripture is true. This is why it says tongues are for a sign to the unbeliever (1 Corinthians 14:22).
The tongues can change or shift when tongues of a different administration are required to deal with an issue in the natural or with demons that hinder. It is not the believer who decides the tongues used when speaking, but the Holy Spirit. The tongues can be a combination of languages woven together that stream up to the God of many waters (Revelation 1:15), the God of many peoples who speaks all the languages ever spoken and can process them all faster than a semi conductor and understand all the prayers all over the world at the same time.
What Happens During Prayer
The believer prays in tongues, and God’s blessing for the day and instruction come back down to the believer, woven into their inner spirit. All of a sudden after prayer, the believer feels energized for the day and has been given solutions to the problems of the day and those things to help their life that they need that day. The Holy Spirit delivers energy, edification, and life and new things come to the mind because of prayer.
If you have been newly baptized in the Spirit, make sure that you speak in your new heavenly prayer language daily because like a little child you must allow God to train your spirit to become stronger and that strength comes from speaking in tongues, it edifies, teaches, and strengthens the believer, in other words, makes the inner man stronger.
Those baptized in the Spirit in the Old Testament were Prophets, like King David and Elijah. They lived holy, and could call down the power of God to defend themselves or their city, and perform sacrifice. They received messages for the people, they prayed, or asked for dreams and visions. They did not speak in tongues. This is a New Testament activity.
In the Old Testament, Israel lived under an open vision when there was a Prophet to Judge them (1 Samuel 3:1), but when there was no prophet, there was no open vision. If Baptized in the Spirit, you will have Jehovah Shammah, the very presence of God, Immanuel, God with us, closer than a brother, as Jesus said.
God speaking to his children with stammering lips and another tongue (Isaiah 28:11) was prophesied, but prophesied in sarcasm recognizing that you would not believe it.
Isaiah 28:11-12 KJV
“For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith you may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.”
This is why people don’t believe it! It was prophesied they would not believe it. B. B. Warfield, a tool of Satan, came teaching “Cessation” of the gifts. This teaching has led the churches to deny the gifts of the Holy Spirit. But for those who do believe, even though we are evil, but we ask for it, as Jesus said to do (Matthew 7:11, Luke 11:13) it is the refreshing (Acts 3:19), the empowerment, the power to live the Christian life in holiness; the power to rid yourself of continuing sin, sexual immorality, and all the vile things that should not be part of the Christian life; through repentance. It is the power to perform miracles, and healings, and the power to perform mass deliverances from demon power.
Speak in tongues everyday. Amazing things will happen. And you will know he is the Lord.
What Defines the Believer?
Jesus himself defines the believer as the one who casts out demons, heals the sick and speaks in other tongues, Mark 16:17. So why did God prophesy you would not believe it? Because God wants the ones that want him regardless of what it takes to find him. Not the ones who show up to see the show and will fall away.
Mark 16:16-18
“He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow THEM THAT BELIEVE; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”
Does that preacher you’ve been sitting under have the Baptism? If not, time to find a church that is Holy Ghost Baptised. Flesh does not have the ability to teach you spiritual things. The same as Paul said he could not teach carnal people spiritual things, because they are spiritually discerned (1 Corinthians 2:14).
The Gift of Tongues for the Congregation
The nine gifts of the Spirit can flow as the Spirit wills through anyone, and some, like myself, have had all nine of them flowing when needed at various times, but the Gift of Tongues is used to speak to a specific church congregation. It is reserved for the speakers God appoints to that congregation. Others may be speakers in smaller settings like prayer groups or classes, but to the large congregation under a pastor, there will be specifically Spirit-appointed individuals. Just as there will be Spirit-appointed interpreters.
Some people get jealous because it’s always the same few people who speak in tongues or only a few who have the interpretation. But it is God who decides. A Pastor must have at least the Gift of Interpretation of Tongues in a Holy Ghost Baptised church to maintain order in the body, to know if the tongues spoken are messages from God or of their flesh.
The Gift of Tongues is given to only a few people in the congregation of a church. I have seen a church with three speakers with completely different ways the voice of God comes through, because one is the Spirit, one is the Father, and one is speaking for Jesus. The Pastor should be able to interpret, if not, he cannot keep his church in order and out of the flesh. From time to time there will be messages in tongues given to others for the congregation, not by the main congregational speakers, for minor messages from God. He speaks broadly to that particular congregation on the basis of what has been prayed by that congregation, or it comes in line with the pastor’s message. I have been in churches where tongues and interpretations simply speak to me only. Perhaps that day I was the only one with faith to receive a meaningful answer. God is not the God of confusion, so if there is a message in tongues and there is no speaker to interpret, likely it was an over eager member speaking in the flesh. The Pastor will continue the service. This is how the church is supposed to function. The Pastor rules the service and decides in prayer with God if tongues are allowed in his church.
There is a place inside the body of man that is called “the belly” and this is where the Holy Spirit connects. If an interpretation comes forth, the person will hear it from their belly. Sounds strange but that’s what happens. It can feel like a lightning bolt running through you, but you know what the tongues are saying.
The Lord will not speak through a Speaker if the pastor doesn’t believe. This is a dead church. You want to be a member of the living church where all 9+ gifts are present and active in various administrations. Jesus Christ died for God’s supernatural power to be present in your life and to function in the church. It never ceased. Man decided not to believe. Today it is the Pentecostals who have the Spirit flowing. Find that kind of church. I say 9+ gifts because with the different administrations there are actually more than nine, dependent on the faith of the one who has the gifts (1 Corinthians 12:5).
The best gift is a Gift of Faith, because it enables all the other gifts. And Paul said to pray for the best gifts.
Jesus and the Holy Spirit at Age 21 - Not the Baptism
Taken Up to a Dry Riverbed in Heaven
In 1985, a few weeks before Easter, my spirit was taken up to a place in heaven near the Temple in a dry riverbed. I was 21 years old and married in the previous year.
This was not anything I expected to happen, and I had no spiritual knowledge, and I had no biblical understanding, beyond being saved, of what was about to happen. It wasn’t until 37 years later that I had enough knowledge of the scriptures and received my calling in order to be able to explain what I saw. This was an event, a physical event for my spirit, in The Spirit. It was not a dream or a vision. Like John the Beloved, I was in the Spirit. When God communicates to a non-spiritual Christian, he gives experiences that you can remember, real experiences.
The backstory:
For some unknown reason even to myself I had been praying for God to show me an Angel. I prayed this before bed for several nights. I didn’t know there is only one creature that will ever answer a prayer like this … Satan. Well, on the last night that I said that prayer, my bedroom began to glow with a green light, and it was coming from somewhere behind me as I was laying on the bed on my left side. I kept my eyes closed and refused to look at the source of the green light and a great fear came over me. It was several minutes before the green light disappeared. I kept checking by opening my eyes to see if it was gone. I was never able to explain the color of the light or give it a name until I was about 52 years old.
Satan is a fallen Cherub. We call him a fallen angel (God says he was “the covering Cherub” of Ezekiel 28:16 KJV), as in the plural Cherubim, the beasts, stationed around God’s throne (Revelation 5:8), who say, “Holy, Holy, Holy (Revelation 4:8). The light that is emitted from Cherubim as “their appearance” is as the color of a beryl stone (Ezekiel 10:9), green. On earth we call Satan a fallen angel, but his power is much greater than that of an archangel, which is why Michael the Archangel, Prince of Israel (Daniel 12:1) would not rebuke him directly (Jude 1:9). On earth there are many colors of beryl stones, but green is the most common.
I was simply afraid and didn’t look at it.
A few nights later, without prayer, I was laying on my stomach and a blue light glowed in my bedroom, and I was lifted out of my body, face down the way I had been laying, but I was very afraid and began to swim back toward my body. It was like being caught in a Star Trek tractor beam coming from above. This blue light was from God, but I didn’t know that, and he didn’t take me up that night due to my fear. I was let back in my body. I was uncooperative while I was awake. A fully conscious trip to heaven was not going to work in my case.
On Saturday, The Week Before Easter Sunday
God tried again on Saturday night, the week before Easter Sunday. This time he was successful in taking me up to heaven because he did it while I was asleep and could not fight it. “The carnal mind is enmity against God (Romans 8:7 KJV).” Yes, Christians without teaching are carnally minded.
The Dry Riverbed
I was awake without remembering waking up, standing in a dry riverbed in what you would understand was a pink and white and gold-tinged foggy light, like morning on the water, a mist without it being a mist. There was no fear this time. I had been transferred from my body to this place. I didn’t understand where I was or the immediate reason for my being there, but it was not a dream, and I was not in my body, and I was looking around and taking it in.
The dry riverbed was comforting because it was a place with things I recognized from my childhood tours of rivers and woods around where I lived in Alaska. Large water-rounded river stones, the color of concrete, bordered the edge of the riverbed, with thickets of tall leafless branches with furry pussy willow buds growing on both sides beyond the rocks. In Alaska, the pussy willows are enormous like everything else, and we used to pretend they were small pocket pets. The old man on our dirt road used to carve me slide whistles from green pussy willow branches. I was alone standing in the middle of the dry riverbed trying to see beyond the pink mist. I knew there was a building beyond the mist where the golden light was. I was there for long enough to examine the place and remember it for the rest of my life, even now.
Jesus Christ in a White Glorious Garment - His Face Like the Sun
Unless you are sanctified, you are not allowed to see the face of the Savior. This is why we only see his face as a bright shining sun when he visits in dreams and visions. I didn’t know this until a later visit to the throne in 2019. When I saw his real face, the Spirit said, “those who are pure in heart shall see God” (Matthew 5:8 KJV). I will write about those things later.
Standing on the dry riverbed, Jesus was behind me and said “look up”, and above that dry riverbed was a golden river that flashed like the gold bars in Fort Knox, but was fluid and made up of what I understand looks like golden digital data packets or shining glitter. Back then I didn’t know how to describe it that way because we didn’t have digital data packets before cell technology. I used to work in the telecom industry. Jesus said “put your head in it”, and it flowed down to me around my forehead. I was standing in the River, but it was flowing around my head rather than around my legs. Then Jesus said “ask a question.”
You might be thinking why didn’t I ask how to cure cancer or how to bring about world peace, but when you are out of the body, your normal thoughts don't occur to you. All thoughts pretty much leave when you are in the presence of God. At this time I knew nothing about the Holy Spirit, and I didn’t know anything except that Jesus was there.
I asked him to tell me about Quantum Mechanics because there was a lot of science stuff on TV and I was into that. Next was I was sucked up into that golden river above me and the river became like a teacher personality. I was rolled over so I was facing downward and on my belly like a kid watching cartoons in front of the TV.
The personality I sensed was on the right side of my head. And he began to display the calculations below me. The calculations were in white as if I was looking at an ethereal blackboard. The calculations appeared and disappeared very quickly, but I was able to follow them and I knew what they meant and represented about Quantum Mechanics. I had a complete and perfect knowledge and a sense that it was all so easy. The last formula was one you will recognize, the formula for matter, E = MC².
You’re probably shaking your head.
All I know, is that what Einstein got, he got from God. God, the Creator, is the God of man’s science too. Those calculations were not for me to apply in my life so I do not retain them. But they are really easy for God. That year I got an A in Calculus, after being defeated by higher math in high school.
Anyway, after I was shown this, the River receded and I was standing with Jesus near a door that I was not allowed to enter. And right there I could feel the Love of the Father radiating out from behind that door. The love of God is not like the love we feel from hormones in our minds, it is greater than that and all consuming. Back then I didn’t know this was the Temple of God in heaven. I looked at Jesus and asked if I could stay and the only word was “No”. No other explanation.
Back to My Body Again
Then my soul was picked up in a literal giant hand, larger than my body and was carefully lowered down to slip me back into my body, and I was conscious of all of this as I was wide awake. As the hand departed, I could see it go, and I tried so hard to keep a hold of that feeling of love, but it receded after a minute or two. All I know is that God’s love cannot be manufactured by the human mind. When I was able to speak, all I said was “God is Love” and that is exactly what John the Beloved wrote (1 John 4:8).
I didn’t know the purpose of this experience. I had been literally in the River, but I did not speak in other tongues. I believe I was marked for future service while I still believed. Three years later, I denied God and went back into the world. This is what happens when you have no biblical teaching.
That golden river is the Holy Spirit. His true form.
On Easter Sunday
I went to church, having told no one, not even my husband, what had happened. After the sermon I needed to get up out of the pew and go up onto the dais and ask the Pastor if I could speak, just like that. He said, “make it quick.” He was irritated.
I had thought to tell about what happened to me, but what came out was different. I stood there with both my arms stretched out, like on the cross, wearing a white dress no less, and I said that God had given me a dream and that he said we should all love each other, and that was it. I went back to seat, feeling a little strange that I didn’t say more. My husband and in laws said nothing, like it didn’t happen and they never wondered, which to be honest is a little strange.
After that, church was getting out, a woman came bustling up the side aisle by the windows from the back of the church, she asked, “do you know what just happened?” I looked at her oddly, and said, “no.” She said, “my father finally accepted the Lord and got saved.” I really didn’t know what to say, not having spent any time in church really, not knowing any preachers. But, God had something to say to that man, and he used me to say it. Those few words had more impact on that man through the Holy Spirit than 1000 sermons.
When we get to heaven, we will be like Jesus and have all knowledge of all things that the River knows because we will be powered by him. Truly, all knowledge is contained in the Spirit of God.
Philippians 3:21
“Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself”
This trip to heaven to see the River, must have marked me for service, even though he knew I would shortly fall away. I didn’t speak in tongues, I had not yet read the Bible. But I would keep that visual experience with me all my life. Until it was time.
I tell this because I want you to know that even if you’ve been to heaven and been in the River, you are not Baptized in the Holy Ghost unless you have the evidence of speaking in other tongues, as it is written in scripture. God does everything by his word. What happened to me comes from Ezekiel’s description of the Temple and the Holy Spirit as the Great River.
Jesus came looking for me again, with another dramatic experience, but I’ll save that for later, so let’s skip forward to my Holy Spirit Baptism with the evidence of speaking in other tongues.
My Holy Spirit Baptism
When I was originally baptized with the Holy Spirit during a church service, I only spoke a few repetitive words. Around age 48.
Not everyone gets a commanding prayer language at first. The prayer language is something that needs to be developed by speaking it daily. As your spirit grows in strength, the tongues become more commanding and there are different tongues for different things, 1 Corinthians 12:28.
I tried to figure out what I was saying by looking up the words online. The first words were “Lelele le” which is “Listen to this” in Zulu, and “Alhamdulilah” which is “thanks be to God” in Arabic. Probably, “Listen to this! I’m giving thanks unto God, and there’s nothing you can do about it Satan!” It would be like Jesus, to say that to the devil in the language he understands, Arabic, since Allah is not God, but Satan.
The Bible says God laughs at Satan, that’s why he named Isaac “laughter” And when I really want to put the devil on the run, I laugh at him too.
The Refilling
I asked the Lord to refill me in a special way so that I was sure I was baptized because I was not confident it was not my flesh speaking because I never felt a rush of words. I prayed for a special confirmation, and I kept asking for a long time. When you have been unemployed for 4 years, in a desert wilderness, waiting on the Lord, time and days have little meaning. So I know I waited for some time, but cannot say if it was months, half a year, or a year. But I continually prayed for the refilling.
Then it happened. I was asleep on my left side under a quilt on the right side of my bed. I had fallen asleep with the light on and a big pillow under my head so my neck was crooked at a steep angle. It was between midnight and 2 am. I remember I felt my body moving before I opened my eyes to realize my body was not moving, but my soul within my body was rocking. My soul was being rocked awake by the Holy Spirit, like I was in a hammock, while my body was motionless on the bed. Very gently, like you would wake a child who fell asleep. I was not lifted out of my body, but my soul was being rocked separately from my body.
Judges 5:12
“Awake, awake, Deborah: awake, awake, utter a song”
The words out of my physical mouth were, “well Lord, am I going to die now?” I was waiting for the heart attack. Thinking, if I could feel my spirit moving, this was it. The trials I was under were very severe. But then, in the corner of my room, near the head of the other side of the bed, I had the knowledge that Jesus stood there, even though I could not see him with my physical eyes. He had come into my room, in all his robes of righteousness and a crown on his head (he appeared to my soul like an invisible golden person with his scepter and crown. I still was not allowed to see his face, so it was wrapped in his golden robe.)
As soon as I knew he was there, I stopped wondering if I was dying, and I was up on my knees, on the bed, facing that corner of the room, where he was, with my hands in the air, speaking in other musical tongues. It’s like I was in my body but seeing in the Spirit, sort of a half in the body, half out of the body experience. Aware of my body but everything was happening in the Spirit, including what I was seeing, and what was coming out of my mouth. Jesus was in front of me, the Holy Spirit was flowing through me, and music from another world was coming out of my mouth, and so loud I know it wasn’t me.
I was singing with the Spirit, a harmony of at least three voices. There was a vision of a music stand with a vertical staff of music in motion running down the left side of the vision; with notes that were white, pink, and gold; three dimensional, sparkling, and alive, not flat like you see music on a page. I was singing the notes in tongues. The colors were the colors of that mist at the dry river bed in heaven.
I was participating in a living colorful waking vision. It is hard to describe the duality of it because it involved both my soul and my body. I could see the vision with my spirit, but felt it and heard the sounds with my physical body. The sound was so beautiful I could not believe what was coming out of my physical mouth. I had no understanding of what I was saying, but I knew it was a song because of the staff of musical notes. I played violin for 6 years and flute for 3 years so I can read sheet music.
This event lasted perhaps one minute, I couldn’t really tell, but it seemed very quick. I would have to say that Jesus confirmed to me that he is the baptizer and now, I was indeed baptized in the Holy Spirit. I laid down again and went back to sleep. It was over, just like that. But I felt no regret that it had ended, just a deep peace, and absolutely no fear.
I saw a video of Kathryn Kuhlman telling how a woman she knew sang with the Spirit when she was Baptized in the Holy Spirit. I assume her experience was the same as mine. Someone online told me they too received a golden vision when they received the Spirit Baptism, but didn’t share the details.
I wrote about my Holy Spirit Baptism in a bible college paper, and I was laughed at and scoffed at by the very people who claimed they were spirit baptized, but their tongues were so dry, there was no life. They did not live in the Spirit. Later the Lord told me to leave that church because of their opposition to what he was doing with me. Better for them that I left, so they would not be blamed for their opposition.
God will deal with you according to your faith. If you were once baptized with tongues, and you never used the prayer language, repent and ask him for a refilling.
I hope this helps you to understand that God is real. All of Paul’s churches were Holy Spirit Baptized tongue talking churches. This was the early church. How God must mourn those who believe the Cessation of his power. Cessation is a lie of Satan.
